Spring Break

We took the kids to Nags Head, NC over spring break. We knew that the weather in April would be a bit of a crapshoot, but we got lucky, and had some absolutely beautiful spring days.

Ryan had his first beach experience, and seemed to like it.



Like I said, the weather was great. No one actually went swimming, but we waded in almost every day. We even had periodic visits from the school of dolphins that play in the waves offshore.



Nags Head/Kitty Hawk have some of the biggest dunes on the East Coast, and we climbed to the top of the biggest one. The girls were less tired than Mitos and I, and Ryan wasn't tired at all!

Ryan's 6 month birthday

Today was Ryan's 6 month birthday (it might sound silly, but the girls know it is important) so I took the kids to Build-A-Bear. The girls built Ryan a stuffed dog for a birthday present, and dressed it in a Yankee uniform - his name is Pinstripe!



We also had some very strange weather for April 5th... in the space of 1 hour, it went from sunny to blizzard back to sunny - and no one was calling for rain or snow at all!! Here is a picture of our ephemeral winter wonderland (everything melted in less than 45 minutes once the snow stopped).

As much as I love Snow... Enough already!!! I want highs in the 80s and trips to the beach.
